BlueFinity Announces MultiValue Integration with Microsoft Reporting Services

23 January 2006 - London, UK -  BlueFinity International, a provider of software development tools and consultancy services to the MultiValue database and Microsoft developer communities, has announced the general availability of its Reporting Services Data Connector (RSDC) product. BlueFinity's RSDC product allows MultiValue developers to utilize Microsoft's Reporting Services in SQL Server 2005 and quickly build presentable and flexible reports.

Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a server-based reporting solution that can author, manage and deliver both paper-oriented and interactive Web-based reports and services. With support for a wide range of different data sources and multiple output formats, SSRS is flexible enough to be used in small businesses and large enterprises alike.

BlueFinity's Reporting Services Data Connector allows SSRS users to utilize MultiValue data sources in their reports. By integrating with the low level data provider interface of the SSRS product, BlueFinity allows MultiValue databases to supply data at SSRS's data acquisition phase. This approach has the advantage of allowing the full feature set of the SSRS Report Designer and Report Builder to be leveraged in the manipulation, format and display of the MultiValue data.

"We have taken a great deal of care to make sure that the integration of the MultiValue database into the SSRS design environment has been done in such a way as to provide a very natural extension to the environment," Cooper explains.
