mv.NET License Request
mv.NET as a whole is licensed in 2 parts. Firstly, if you have purchased developer licenses, each developer's workstation needs activating (these are called CID licenses). Secondly, each server for which you have purchased runtime licenses will need the relevant number of database access licenses enabling (these are called DALs).

The mv.NET product download comes with a 30 day evaluation license built in. Please note that the mv.NET evaluation license will expire 30 days from the installation of mv.NET and you therefore need to generate a request for an extended license as soon as possible by following these instructions;-

Request a New mv.NET CID License

In order to activate the full functionality of the Client Interface Developer (CID) product, you need to run the mv.NET Data Manager and select the "License Control/Request CID License" top menu option (see image opposite).
The Data Manager is the mv.NET utility program and will have been installed as part of the install process. You can find this in your "Windows Start" menu under "BlueFinity".

On selecting this option, the screen opposite will be displayed.
For all licenses, the license requests must be generated from the systems on which they will reside.

You need to enter the correct details into all of the input fields within this form
  • Purchase Order Number (Your purchase order number for this order of a license if available)

  • Your Name

  • Organization Name (Your company)

  • Organization Address (Your company's address)

  • Email address (the email address to which the license files will be sent)

and then click the Generate button.

After doing so, at the foot of the window, a set of activation request details will be displayed.

You need to copy and paste these details into an email, use the "copy to clipboard" button to copy the information and then access your email client/browser.

This email now needs to be sent to either your mv.NET supplier or direct to BlueFinity at license@bluefinity.com.

Request a New mv.NET DAL

To generate a DAL request, right-click on the appropriate Server Profile in the Data Manager tree and select "Request Database Access License" from the drop-down menu.

The DAL license request must be generated from the system on which mv.NET will reside.

On selecting this option, the screen opposite will be displayed. The Server System Name/IP Address and Datbase Platform type are prepopulated for you automatically.

You need to enter the correct details into all of the input fields within this form
